It can be done :)

Hopefully not too hard on the car.

Its on delay now though, I asked the MOT tester and he said it'd be ok. Then the tester took the car out of the garage after i told him, and scrubbed it all up

Lets hope they don't change their mind on tuesday when i have the proper MOT.

Job done...well almost  I forgot to stake the track ends, so will have to take it back out soon....don't want them to fall off!

I will be writing a guide one day soon, but not tonight.

The stops are made up in aluminum, 22mm long, 35mm diameter, 23mm bore. Got a local place to make them up for £12, and got them the same day :)

They slip onto the rack, and are free to slide about. I should have possibly fixed them to the ends, but theres no way they are going to catch, and shouldn't wear very much at all.

If I do have problems in the future, i will redesign them slightly, but fingers crossed it'll all be fine.

Lock to lock is now 2.5 turns!!!!! But as you can see from the pics, it couldn't possibly be any greater, as it's so close.

I didn't need to restrict the other direction but thought it would be odd if the number of turns wasn't equal.

Here's the pics :)

A stop:

On the rack:

Full lock, just clears the box:

The ARB used to rub as well...not a chance now lol:

Haven't driven it yet, as its not on the road.

Cheers,
