you need plastic primer for a start, then id use a grey or white filler primer to give a good base to paint on so that it doesnt take too mant layers to cover the black, the filler primer will also make it look smoother aswell, the handles and mirrors are made form a plastic that has a kinda elephant skin texture to it, you could sand it flat first if you want it to be a perfect match to the body., then the colour paint you should use will be cellulose based and a cellulosed based laquer to finish it off.,

by the way does this work for both handles and mirrors.

yep., all the same, id sand them with P600 first and then go lighter with a 1200 and then 2000 so that they're really smooth and will look a lot better when there colour coded.,

Your cars paint code is on a sticker on the boot somewhere if that helps for the paint? You can then get it mixed up + it'l be perfect!

lol thanks i already have the colour code, but what you mean by mixed up.. (y)

well i went to a place local to me called GMF and gave them the paint code and they mixed me up a can of paint that was exactly the right colour bit more expensive than off the shelf but means you get it perfect! dont know about white though sorry?
I got some paint done at Halfords before i went to GMF, had it mixed by some 12 year old who didnt have a clue and it came out closer to purple and so i just walked away! Hahaha :D
