Technical Recently changed tailgate lock, now central locking not working

Hi all,

I recently changed my tailgate lock on my 06 GP 1.2 as my old one wasn't working. But since I've changed it, the door open sign on the dashboard is constantly on even though all my doors are shut.

Does anybody have any suggestions to fix this?

Does it still lit if you unplug the lock ?

- if so the issue, maybe the original one, comes from the wiring
- if not, the lock is faulty

BTW, is the lock working ok ??

Light on..and not working..?
Or is the 'door open' light a new thing?

Hi mate,

The issue with the old lock was that it had stopped working when using my key button or by the button inside the car. So I bought another one; which is now working & replaced my old one.

Since I’ve changed it, the central locking wasn’t working from the inside even when all doors are closed, with the ‘opened door’ sign on.

I tried locking my doors from the inside the other day and it worked, but the light on the dash is still showing a door is open

It’s a new problem.

I haven’t tried yet if it still happens when i unplug it but I will and let you know

Its possible its working.. just out of sync.

Look in 500 section.. people have lots of these issues.. there is a locking sequence that seems to work
