I`ve got 3 issues with IE8

I recently noticed the drop down saved URL`s in my address bar have gone from about 25 down to 7, if say I type an address in manually, it`ll `drop` the one off the bottom, if I then delete the address I`ve just put in from its memory, it then pops the bottom one back on last, from this I deduct it has saved the other regular addresses I use, but for some reason the settings have changed restricting the number displayed, I`ve looked & cant see where this is changed, can anyone help?

The other thing is I dont want my favorites coming up in my address bar drop down, I see it as being pointless, so I`d like to remove that completely & preferably increase my recent URL`history` from its current 5...

Another issue, lets say I`m on FF & I`m about 20 pages in, I`ll click the back button & it`ll re-display the current page, I`ll then click the back buttons drop down menu & click 5 or 6 pages back, it`ll then jump 15 pages back & you wont be able to click the forward button, loosing the pages you wanted to go on....

Its always done it, but it has got worse lately.

Also, a few weeks ago my MSN started to stop remembering my user name & password after every re-boot, I eventually changed the OS DOS (something to do with yahoo?) after reading something I`d googled, this worked, but I`m not sure if its tied in with the IE thing or if the address bar thing happened at the same time now....

I like ie8 other than the issues mentioned, so I dont want to change to firefox etc, I just want to repair what I`ve got!

Its Windows XP with ie8...

I`m about to pop out, but I`ll be back in an hour or so.

Cheers! ;)

Favourites appearing in the address bar:
Tools > Internet Options > Content (Tab) > Auto complete Settings - Settings (Button)
Uncheck the favourites option

I know you have stated you otherwise like Internet Explorer but perhaps you should give something else a go. Opera, Firefox, Safari or Chrome for example.
