when using Facebook on IE8, sometimes it hangs and wont load the page, and the blue circle continually spins in the tab.
i can leave it like this all day without timing out.
everytime it does this i have noticed facebook has inserted a #! in the url.
for example, the URL that works is http://www.facebook.com/XXXXXX (XXXXXX being the rest of the real URL), but facebook puts http://facebook.com/#!/XXXXXX and this is when the page doesnt load and it just hangs until i click in the address bar and delete the #, the ! and a /.
also noticed when just on the feed which should be http://www.facebook.com (when logged in) if http://www.facbook.com/#! is in the address bar, it stops the feed updating with other peoples new status.
what is going on with this and how do i get around it?
