RECALL : FIRE RISK, Which Fiat's?

I read a typical online "newsitem" 🙄

Stellantis are recalling thousands of cars,

Fiat,Lancia, Etc

But.. It's the 1.2 turbo motor

Citroen seem to have developed this..
WHAT FIAT models are now using this..? 🤔

From what I can see (and researched):

  1. Stellantis aren't broadcasting this to the general (uninvolved) public.
  2. It affects 2023,2024 and 2025 vehicles
  3. It's 72,000 vehicles
  4. It involves "Vehicles equipped with the 1.2-turbo petrol engine may face a fuel leakage at the high-pressure pipe between the high-pressure pump and the rail due to loosened nuts. "This can potentially lead to higher fuel consumption and, in a worst-case scenario, to occurrences of fire in the engine."
  5. It's 28 models across the Stellantis owned brands
  6. They're writing to all (involved) customers.
  7. There is no number 7 ;)
  8. It should be coming to https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-recall , but as the news report is only days old it's not there now

I found a number 7 😁

You can put a VIN into their website to see if that particular vehicle is affected, but they won't give you a list (catastrophe management ;))

@StevenRB45 ..

You know your Citroen tech..
Any input 🤔

As far as I know all the engines are made at one plant (possibly douvrin).

And in some cases the fittings on the fuel rail (in yellow) aren't tightened. Because they are all from one place...same fault could be in any car with the engine.

Should at least be easy to lift the cover and look for leaks while waiting for a recall letter.

Only affected Fiat is likely to be 600 but the petrol only came out recently. Maybe the Grande Panda would fall in the date range but so few have been delivered probably not.
