hi there i have a 1.9td on a R reg plate

after reading several postings about rear window wiper motors, i was wondering if u guys could either diagnose the problem or tell me if i need a new motor etc... heres what i tried....

1 - i tried to strip it down and look at connections etc... they were fine.
2 - i cleaned the 4 contacts on the boot lid using sandpaper.
3 - i even tried to replace the unit with a fiat bravo that i have breaking for spares 1.6 hlx aqua blue but unfortunately these have different connections!

a few months ago the wiper was working ok but i noticed when the back wiper was switched off i was getting a wierd clicking noise! and if i turned it on it would work on and off.

i dont even know if there is any power getting to it....where is the fuse for the rear wiper? is it located near the steering wheel where the rest of the fuses are?

please help cos im gonna smash this phukin thing up lol!

kind regards me GRRRRRRRR!

Disconnect the connections at the motor..

Use a volt meter, and test to see if any power is going through when you turn it on.

If not, then there is a wiring / fuse problem.. otherwise, the motor is goosed.

I replaced mine about 18 months ago and the connections were different..

Just chopped off the original plug, and used 3 spade connectors instead... works a treat now.

Its the shaft that seizes in the tube can be stripped cleaned drop of copper slip
