General Rear socket/'Follow me home' lights

Hi

Does Paul's car have a CD interchanger or not? This may answer why the second socket is missing, but am I totally at a loss as to why they miss out the 3rd row on an MPV - as you said, a key feature to the vehicle in their brochures!

Stuart

Well my car does not have a CD multichanger but still has only the one 12 volt socket!

Also mine is auto but it has the 807 gearbox trim!

Also does anyone have a set up disc for the connect-nav?

mine only talks french & the dealer said they cant get a new disc until late Dec / Early Jan

Paul

yep mine is due to pick up next week and also has the 807 auto trim, will be looking hard for all the 12 volt sockets as if you pay for them then you should get them, it is like saying to fiat when you go and collect your car that due to Unforeseen circumstances you are going to take £50 off the price of the car see what they say. It is one of the selling points that makes you pick the eleganza over the dynamic. I know it is only a small thing but with kids they come in very handy and i was going to use the one on the drivers seat for a portable DVD player to keep them happy.

You got two postings the same there, Poggy?

I am really going to fight hard to get my socket in - but I won't be able to get down to the dealers for at least another 2 weeks, and then with Christmas, etc...

As you rightly said, it is a selling point; and I may want to go on the back row and watch a DVD myself whilst the wife is driving!

Oh well - if it weren't for allt these little moans and groans, this whole Ulysse forum would be boring!

Stuart

Got my Ulysse Elegaza in September - it had the rear socket missing. It also had the rear document pockets missing, and no-one knew that this was because the electric door option was fitted (the motors go where the pockets would be). Anyway - I complained to the supplying dealer (fleet car so they are miles from me). They contacted my local dealer to do the work. They ordered in a spare socket and fitted it for me free of charge.

If you've got yours missing, moan to the dealer!

Hi,

When car eventually goes in to have the rear nearside indicator cluster fixed, I intend for them to fit the rear socket in!!! Especially now that other dealers seem to be doing the same.

Stuart

Rear document pockets? where are they then? I've got the electric doors, but theres no pockets other than those on the seats.

I've got all 3 sockets though. na na na naa na.
but no drawer under the driver seat. doh!

froggy

Ha ha ha - that's what we like, some humour.......

Aren't the rear documents pockets just slots in the centre doors. We don't have electric doors, so mine are definetely there. Not that I ever use them!

And I don't think anyone has a drawer under the drivers seat!

Stuart

Rear pockets aren't there for electric doors (the motors go where the pockets would be), and I don't have a driver seat draw either!

Stuart,

My third row 12V socket has been fitted!!! According to my dealer FIAT know about this and refuse to accept that it is a 'misbuilt car' but advise the dealer to fit it retrospectively, they even have a set price for the work. I am beginning to wonder whether this is some kind of communication/political problem between Peugeot and Fiat. I tried to find an online forum for Peugeot to see if they have the same problem but could not find one.

On another note I don't have a drawer under the seat either and as for the pockets in the third row, I don't have them as I have electric doors. However, I did see them yesterday in a show room car at my dealer and the difficulty I had in opening them (though I was leaning over from the middle row) suggests they would not last the course.

Lou

I used the 'misbuild' label with my dealer and they didn't dispute it (after being pointed at their showroom model that had it, and the brochure that mentioned it). I don't know if they got Fiat to agree that it was a misbuild or not, but the dealer sorted it at no cost to me, so that's all I was concerned about!

If everything documents that it should be there, they don't have a leg to stand on when it's not!

Just got back from the dealers & I was told that yes the socket is missing & yes THEY changed the spec mid year & took the one on the drivers seat out! They are going to fit F.O.C the one in the 3rd row for me "once they get the part"

Also on mine I need to have all my front & rear light units replaced, And the "follow me home" headlights which should be on the car was built without it on mine & they said it has been "mis-built"

Hi,

Why the change of lights !!!

Also I think there is a mistake with the 12v sockets as mine was built in October (the date codes are on the wiring looms etc so it is not an old stock car) and it has all 3 sockets. The loom on the drivers seat socket says Sept 2003.

Poggy

Got mine booked in for the rear sockets to be fitted on the 1st jan but have found that my car is also missing the "follow me home" headlights and also bands that go between the drivers and passengers seats have been done away with. I hope that they did a better job building the rest of the car i guess we will have to keep are fingers crossed in a crash as they might have forgot to fit the air bags lol.

Well I'm beginning to think I came off lightly, as all that was wrong with mine was the rear 12V socket.

Now if I could only find the squeaky mouse that has taken up residence in my car and which doesn't like me turning left, I'd be happy! ;)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

John

Hi y'all!

My lights also fog up too. My rear cluster being replaced soon [along with new rear socket], but I have also noticed that the front indicator bulbs mist too. I may now speak to dealer about this, especially since you mentioned 'misbuild'. I like precedents....

Stuart

My bands between the seats are also missing and I don't appear to have the follow me home headlamps. There now appears to be some confusion on how these operate. Can anybody who has them explain how you activate them. The other strange thing is that my headlamp stalk and wiper stalk have the word AUTO on them which suggests that I have the Super Visibility pack which I do not have. Looks like the Parts bin had to be raided from another build.

Lou

The bands between my seats where also missing the dealer gave me the ones out of the display car but they are no good as the fixing points on the seats are missing along with the 12v socket. Also like yours my follow me home headlamps have not been fitted and it must be a fault with all the headlights as mine also mist up. A hell of a lot of faults for a car that cost so much.
