General Rear socket/'Follow me home' lights

Hi,

I would say he is talking cr*p. If it is a feature in the specification you should expect to get it. As far as I know there is no way to "ask" for this on the ordering system or on an order form.

They had a build mistake if you ask me. Also you need the extra switch on the stalk, so it's not like they just switch it on when you ask.

This is an old thread but I noticed something on Saturday which has compelled me to reactivate it. I was at a dealer asking whether Fiat do their own roof boxes and while I was waiting I looked in an Ulysse Eleganza with leather trim and to my surprise saw a 12V socket in the drivers seat. It also had the one in the rear which was retro fitted on mine. I asked the sales person whether this was a vehicle recently off the production line or had it been sitting around for months. All he could say was that it was a 04 plate. I do believe that it was a new vehicle off the production line as the VIN section on the windscreen looked different to mine and had no condensation in it. I will be contacting Fiat UK I think, especially as I am still waiting for the resolution to my Follow me headlamps. Out of interest people who have the rain sensor, what does it look like and where is it on the wndscreen. I am sure I do not have it but the fact that I have the switch gear with auto written on it is beginning to make me wonder what i have and don't have.

The 12V socket in the seat is only available to you if you don't have the factory fitted 6-CD autochanger (as the autochanger blocks access to the socket). The rain sensor looks a bit like a black lollypop in the middle of the windscreen at the bottom.

When you switch the wiper stick from off to the next position up, what happens? If you have auto wipers, you'll get a single wipe (if it's dry) and amessage on the RT3 saying "automatic wipers activated" or something very similar.

I think the rain sensor is in the bottom middle of the windscreen - looks like a black lollipop.

Or is that the light sensor - I presume that is the one all round the top of the windscreen near the rear view mirror.

Lou, I too am interested in a roofbox for a trip to Eire this September. Be interesting to see what you come up with.
