Does anyone have a pic of how the rubbers are fitted to a rear engine mount on a 126.
Thanks in advance.
Brinky.

Here are a few photos of one that I've got in the shed.

Hope they help,
Chris

Hi Guys- Great pics but the lower bump stop is upside down (pointed parts of rubber should point upwards) It is fairly self explanatory how it fits together if you have the kit- The Thinnest rubber is at the top, Thicker rubber at base of spring and bumpstop below the mount.
Happy mounting!

Good job. Thanks brinky.
My 500f mount bottoms out with a thump if the clutch is let out too fast or I dirive over a bump. Is this normal. New spring and rubbers fitted.
I bought a 126 rubber kit to fit under the rubber.

I'm not quite understanding this - have you changed the engine mount ?

The 126 rear transom is different to the 500 one and they are not interchangeable. It is possible to weld the 126 mount on to the 500 transom, but this is not necessary as the standard mount is strong enough to take the weight and torsional stress so long as you are not running a 60hp monster.

If the 500 engine is fouling the body, spacers are available to fit between the engine and the mount to fix the problem.

Or do you own a 126 as well ?

Sorry if I'm being a bit thick,
Chris

Hi,
I might be able to solve this... The 500R actually has the 126 style rear mount welded onto the rear panel and will bolt on to a 500F.
The 500R uses the same engine mount as the 126- I don't think they are better than the 500 mount but probably cheaper to make.
Sometimes people go the long way around the 126 engine conversions and replace the whole rear panel rather than swapping two studs to use the 500 mount....
