Technical Rear diff slap

Hi everyone my mechanic has reported that I have diff slap I’ve never heard of it before I do believe him but I was hoping that a member had come across it before I’ve no noise until the car warms up and when Iam taking off from a junction there’s a metal noise from the rear for about a few seconds then it goes away been in the car since I bought it 4 years ago is it such a thing that it can be repaired or replaced any thoughts as always are greatly appreciated

I have heard this term before. If its making noises best to get a transmission specialist to look. There are a few adjustments possible but its not something i know about. Specialist tools are needed. Id start by checking the oil level. They onlt hold about 350ccso any loss of level could have bad consequences. It shouldnt need to break the bank.
