I'm gonna try posting here as a bit of a Hail Mary to get an answer to my problem.....

I'm wondering if anyone has their rear bumper removed (or has done so recently) and can help?
(its technically not a bodywork question but it is mounted to the bodywork and probably the same on many models)

2016 Fiat 500X
I’ve searched online and haven’t turned up anything. I just swapped out my right (passenger, USA) side BSM sensor as it wasn’t working. Driver side was fine but no joy with the passenger side. Anyhoo, I noticed the working sensor on the left was oriented with the black/label side facing outwards while the inoperative right side was mounted with the white side outwards. The car has had a pretty heavy impact on that corner in the past and if the rest of the repair is anything to go by I don’t have a whole lot of faith in the people who did it TBH. So it’s possible the sensor was mounted incorrectly after the repair.
Could someone please advise?
Thanks

Cant say for a 500x. Panda and Bravo are mounted all around the edge with a series of screws and the odd bolt. The lighting units in the bumper need to be disconnected so you dont stretch wires. The bumper then comes off with a firm tug rearwards. On the Panda cross there are wheel arch trims that are best unscrewed from inside the wheel arch as the loop under the wheel arch trim on teh 'wing' itself. Ive taken rear bumpers of a variety of car and theya re all braodly the same. When you put the bumper back you slide it in forwards and have to ensure the sides - slides and clips etc - engage first and then just replace the fixings. There will be about 10 fixings from experience.

Two people are best but I have often done it single handed. Have a blanket or old sleeping bag on the foor before you pull the cover off. With the sensors you may need to disconnect. I would ensure the battery is diconnected first and hte car left for a while first. You may well need to arrange a proxi alignment if replacing such sensors to get the ECU to accept the new replacements. This is usually a quick simple process to let the car re read its components list and write teh config in the relevant place.
