Technical rear axle

Hi, the previous owner of my step sons chinc sporting has managed to cross thread/strip the threads on one of the rear stub axles , can you buy the stub axles or is it going to be a complete rear axle ??? regards ron

P.S i know the stub axles are sided i.e letf/right hand threads

AFAIK, you can't buy the stub axles (they're actually welded to the rear trailing arms). The threads are not handed, if that's what you mean, although, of course, the trailing arms are left and right. You can probably pick a rear trailing arm up from a scrappy for £15 or so, but may have to re-bush it (see the Cinq/Sei FAQa and Guides). All Cinquecento and Seicento ones are the same, so don't ask for a Sporting one or they'll try and charge you more.
