Only 30 on the road... might be a reason why. :p

So went to get the gasket, got home and decided to WD the nuts while the engine is hot.
That's strange I thought, this first nut isn't even tight.

As I couldn't be bothered to go into the depths of the shed, I used a quarter inch socket set... NOT one nut was tight, I undid them all by hand and an extension. I probably coulda just tightened everything down, but as I already had the gasket I might as well do it.

I haven't taken it off yet as it's 4000 degrees, but all I can assume is my very leaky engine has lubed the nuts and the engine shaking about has done the rest.

Could mean a broken stud of course:bang:

He's fixed for free no bodges, I attempted to get the manifold off. Back in the old days when I worked on newer cars they all had flexible downsides/cat pipes. The Panda doesn't, there's no way of lifting it out of the way without taking it apart or snapping it clean off. I tightened everything back down, was prepared to bodge with sealant. But it wasn't needed, for now at least he's mended.

Herbie rides again...

Ugh stupid bloody tyres, the rears which have become the fronts are terrible.
It was raining, the car wheelspinned in second. The roundabout I always do at 30MPH, today I was doing almost 24 MPH and the front end went, they have no grip whatsoever, causing me to drive gingerly... ok, thats a lie. When theres any kind of moisture on the floor I can't drive 'normally'.

managed to clean the wheels and underside of talon well, and i must say. 175's stop a lot better in the wet than 145's!

i had great fun in the rain yesterday.. i was blasting down flooded lanes with water so deep it was seeping in through the doors seals. talon didnt care one bit...

.. wonder if he will start tomorrow.. best put a tin of wd-40 by the door.
