Panda (Classic) Rarer than a 599 GTO.

Introduction

It is!!!
Only 30 on the road... might be a reason why. :p

Ebay pics for now, but I got it this morning and it has some quirks.

I always put jobs off on the car, Herbie always likes to complicate things.
My front washers haven't worked in about 3 months, so I decided it'll be a 15 minute job to fix. The pump worked, but nothing came out. (Yes, there was water in it. :p )

I take the pump off and instantly see the problem, it's all gunked up. I try to take the rear pump off and it snaps clean in half. (The rear has never worked and I can't see much out of the rear window anyway.) I clean the front pump, put it back on and nothing comes out. Take the pump back off, because of the rear pump, I figured out that it's separable, inside it's immaculate.

Maybe, theres a weird airblock or something? I don't wanna put everything back together, because once the washer pipe is on the bottle it isn't coming back off. I had to cut it off both times. The pump inlet is roughly the same size as a 500ml Dr Pepper bottle, which weirdly I had in my car. The pump inlet is usually vertical, with the bottle on top I make it horizontal. I get someone to try the washers and it fires water everywhere.

Put it all back together and it works beautifully. I did less damage to the rear pump then I thought, it went back together minus a few clips.

No, because then they need the a pillars drilling and then wiring and then painting and then the car needs painting and then the etc etc.

Hes still in the garage, waiting for part.

Yeah well some of us have driven cars with mismatched doors for a while :p

Good luck with the part, hope it sorts out.

When he's running sweet we'll have to do a mini meet again - sort of a Panday between Pandays sort of thing :)

Yes, in an ideal world you'd have the Y10 ready by then. :p

It'll be a Pandayy then!

I keep forgetting with the excitement of the rusty blue one on the drive ;)
