Raggamuffin Red on the 500 Twin Air - has anyone actually seen it? And if so, can they describe it? (Should be interesting - trying to describe a colour). More importantly, is it nice? I've just ordered the car without seeing the colour...do only mad people do that?

I have a Beamer in hellrot Red and over the years I owned it (had it for around 8-9 years) the colour started to fade despite 'looking after it' and having it garaged. The colour was a bit orangey in the harsh light of day and beside my OH Alfa Red Mito I went off the colour (n). A Ferrari red or a real deep red kinda does it for me :D.

I looked at the pics that emibeth23 pointed us in the direction off (another brave woman striving to be different (y)) and one of the pics shows the ragamuffin in a 'less photogenic way' now it still looks good)

For me, Elle MacPherson is a distraction and at least she's not in the above picture (which is a good thing or a bad thing I don't know - it depends how you look at it)

This car has been in a particular showroom now for several months and maybe its the price of the pearlescent paint - I don't know but it hasn't shifted but it does show it in a more 'normal' way (I have attached a pic in case its 'gone' tomorrow)...

Another thread that might be of interest...
https://www.fiatforum.com/500/208424-ragamuffin-red-funk-white.html

For me a red has to be 'deep' and rich. The passodola red does look good on the 500 and it a bright red but there are some concerns about its 'toughness'. I would be 'open' the metallic red that is on the US web site with the Abarty kit.

So in summary - I'm unsure about the ragamuffin  if it tickles your fancy and you want something different - they maybe go for it. I opted for a secondhand funk white to be different :) and I'm very happy with the choice on the current model that I have.

:slayer: Yes!!

I saw the cheaper red today, I think that one looks really nice. I was expecting it to be a bright red but it was a lovely tone.

I will just stick to the cheaper red accessories, methinks ;)

Get some pictures up when it arrives though!

So would you recommend the Raggamuffin for the OP ?

Hmm...yeah. I mean it's not a colour you would see around very often. Although I wouldn't pick it myself, mostly due to price issues and possible fading :) if I had the money I expect I'd choose funk white.

but I hope for OP's sake that it looks good in the flesh!!

A pearlescent colour such as raggamuffin red won't fade. The solid red might.

You're not alone. I would probably put myself in that category as well :D.
