Hello, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction please...
My wife loves her bright blue Fiat 500 Colour Therapy but the radio reception has gone really bad. No amount of tuning can get a decent signal. I've cleaned the aerial connection into the radio but it made no difference and I'm thinking the white roof mounted aerial base might have got water in it and corroded up. I've tried to find a supplier for a new replacement (I'm reluctant to buy second hand just in case that fails) but I can only find black ones!!
Does anyone know of a supplier I could contact please?
As an alternative I could get a black one and paint it white but that flags up three more questions....
1. Are the cable connections the same across the 500 range?
2. Are the aerial stalk connections into the base the same across the 500 range?
3. What colour code is the Fiat 500 Colour Therapy white? It looks to be a slightly creamy white.
Hopefully someone out there can help!!
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Mike

Our previous 500 was a blue Colour Therapy, and we too had to replace the base at some point in its time due to poor reception.

there are two different types of cable connections i believe.
The colour code is probably on the inside of the boot/hatch lid - it can sometimes be other places too - id suggest its bossa nova white or 268/a. but you need to find the label in the car to confirm

I think there are two types of aerial with different circuit boards and connections! not sure but they might have changed around the time of the faceliftbv2014/2015 so if your car between2012/2015 then its a bit of a guess which one you have!
I believe the Colour Therapy models are all the older type. With the smaller, rounder, base. The newer type being longer and flatter.

The eBay link I provided is to a Fiat dealership selling the base, and in their other items, the mast, or both combined. If in doubt, their phone number is contained within the advert, a quick call with the OP's registration number can no doubt confirm.

Thanks all for your replies, especially MN500. I contacted the folks you suggested and they were very helpful checking I was ordering the correct aerial base for our 500 Colour Therapy.
Order placed and quite reasonably priced too!!
I'll post an update when it arrives and has been fitted.
Thanks again for your help.

Blimey!! I can't believe it's been a month since I ordered the aerial base. It arrived really quickly but I've only just got round to fitting it so here is the update I promised..... better late than never!!
I found a video on line that explained the removal of the old base at... and it worked a treat but more importantly the new mast is in place and the radio now works perfectly! Horray!! Thanks MN500 for the pointer.
The only issue is I appear to have lost one of the clips that hold the panel between the quarter-light and back door onto the bodywork, I've attached some photos of one of the others to show what it looks like.
I've had a look on line but can't find any and I'm hoping someone in the know on this forum can point me in the right direction please
Many thanks
Mike

Glad it went well. By the way. I found WD40 on some kitchen paper was good at keeping the white aerial, it's base, and the rubber between the body and the base clean. It had a habit of getting dirt ingrained making it look filthy.

Sorry, cannot help with the clips, other than suggesting a nearby scrap yard
