Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone might be able to help me out!
I have a 2016 Fiat 500 Lounge (66 plate) and I’ve been having ongoing issues with the Uconnect radio system. When I start the car, the radio works for around 30 seconds to a minute, then the sound cuts out. The screen stays on for a little while longer, and then the whole system resets. It keeps repeating this cycle over and over again.
Oddly enough, it sometimes works fine from the moment I start the car, and other times it only starts working properly after I’ve been driving for a while (like on long trips). The battery and alternator have been checked by a garage and are working fine, so I’m leaning toward either a wiring issue or a software problem.
I’ve checked the Uconnect website for updates, but it doesn’t seem to recognise my car, and I’m not sure how else to check or update the system manually.
Has anyone else experienced this or know what the fix might be? I’m comfortable trying to take the radio out and check connections/fuses if needed—I just want to avoid having to replace the whole unit if I can help it.
Any help, suggestions, or experiences would be massively appreciated!
Thanks in advance
