Technical Outlet manifold colour

Daft, but just aware of the manifold colour.

Been otherwise occupied but now cleaning up to refit modified heat shield, rad etc.

Why's the outlet manifold like a baboon's bum on heat?

Technically, there is no need to treat it. But if you want you can paint it or have it powder coated.

Can't have it power coated it would melt

It would need to be ceramic coated to survive the heat

paint some rust converter fluid on it! it will go black and stop further rusting! let dry fully before running up to temp might smell a bit for a while!

Not sure if the high temperature paint would survive a manifold.
Maybe put some cover over it, like a heatshield and you dont need to look at it.

Its not a paint its a rust CONVERTOR changes rust into an inert metal sheel!

Just have my doubts how long it would last on a manifold.

No paint involved! the chemical converts rust (ferric oxide) into black oxide! its still the same metal in a different form and NOT a coating!- however as John says ya cant see it and its a big lump of cast iron so it aint gonna rust through! so leaving it as is would not cause any issues either!
