technically, you are right, but it's not really all about cowell as such.

it's more about the X-Factor hogging the x-mas number 1. just taking cowells project from the top is a nice wee bonus

However, in this instance the evil Syco marketing machine is firing on all (key changing) cylinders, and must be stopped by any means neccessary.

If that means having the first Christmas number one with the chanting of **** you throughout it, then so be it

Besides which, this campaign is not against Cowell or the X-Factor (despite what the media try to say). It is simply designed to make the Xmas number one a non-certainty, something it's not been for a very long time.

Its actually a guy called Edmund Burke who said it, an 18th century political philosopher but since then its been used in pretty much every situation possible because its such a perfect saying to tell people to stop being lazy and get on with it.

I actually agree with ming on this, and feel what he said was taking well out of context!

He mentioned world hunger as an example!!! The bigger picture here is that he said if someones life was endangered by something then by all means step in! If not then who cares?

As for xfuckter if you don't like it then you have at 3 other channels to choose from and a big off button to do something more contructive!!

I already own the track so not going to pay hard earned money to go on principle for a tv show that doesn't affect me!

Cheers steve and yes look at the bigger picture, like with the quote you stated, don;t you think it would be more applicable for you to make a post about world hunger/racisms or about christmas number 1?

All the example you mention is when a human is under threat. Again for example - if i don't brake the kid is under threat so i do something. The women is getting robbed if i don't step in she is under threat. Or am i missing something?
