Technical Radio reception fault

Does anyone know why I have lost reception from any radio channel?. AM, FM and LW are all as bad. All I get is the sort of hissing and buzzing sound that comes when a radio aerial gets disconnected or when you are not tuned into a station. The CD player works fine and the radio tuner will switch as normal between the pre-set channels but I am wondering if I have somehow accidentally disconnected the aerial and if someone might know where to look!

Firstly, remove the unit from the dash and check if the areal plug has fallen out of the back.
