i would like to warn everyone about quin-direct, i have been with them for just over a year and i have numerous problems;
Firstly great quote when i took the policy out great help and very informative, one year passes claim free.. now here comes the problems. Renewal was due on the 1st of this month right they send me the documents with the details of the renewal quote stating if i wish to continue the policy to phone and confirm.. so this i do as you would and they said thank-you, your documents will be with you in a day or two..
So as the days roll by im thinkin to myself, were are these documents.. (this is 6 days now) so i get on the phone call them and quote my reference number.. ohhhhh Mr ***** you canceled your policy with us a couple of days ago.....
half an hour on the phone talkin to a supervisor, brings to light that the person i spoke to prior had c**cked up.. cancelled my policy and left me uninsured for 6 days !!!!! :bang:
So Now been on the phone for just under an hour
(half of which on hold :bang
Supervisor says just wait a minute and i will sort this out for you.. hold again. he gets back to me and says you have to take a new policy ..out...
. He said i can do that straight away now with the details on the system, i insure he has the same quote which he confirms and so i take the policy out again. End of phone call one and half hours later... :slayer:
It Goes ON... Check my bank account the next day and they have taken out a larger sum of money than they should have..
So on the phone again i go.. and ask the kind lady on the other end of the phone whats going on.. she say oh your policy has been taken out as advised..
to cut this very long story short they changed my policy and added just over £500...
.. thats it i had had enough so i tell them to cancel the policy and the women on the end of the phone confirms to me that i will recieve a full refund as it has been cancelled within 4 days..
one week passes and no money refund or letter of confirmation.... :bang:
Once again on the phone to them and they still have not cancelled the policy...
This is where i lost it told them that i will give them 48 hours to sort the matter out or i will be going to citezens advice and consumers direct.. they insist it will be sorted out. so i leave it as that..
and this is where i am now waiting to see what they do.....
