Tuning question on dump valves?

Hi, ive just bought a turbo xs d/v and when fitted it on car took it for a tester, when i change gear its making a chatterin noise but not getting the full noise it should make(ppttttiissshhh). and when i hit full boost it blows the d/v off!!
can anyone let me know what the problem could be or tell me which d/v are the best but loud.

is yours single or twin piston? cos they need twin piston i think, i had this-

on my punto turbo, and it sounded very good imo, and very loud

well think thats your problem, search read topics like this alot, thats only how i know that you need twin piston!

The first place to start is to tighten up the pipe work, super tight. Your DV is leaking and therefore not working properly. Once tight test and you should be ok from there on
