General Fiat coupe 20v turbo scotts green rear end damaged

Hi gentlemen,

Long story short my neighbour has managed to reverse their 4x4 into the rear of my beloved fiat coupe 20v turbo scotts green!

Does anyone out there know of a scotts green boot lid for sale? If so please give me a shout.

I'm gutted to say the least. Luckily caught it on ring camera system as she hit and run! Went and spoke to her fella once i discovered the damage and he later told me she admitted it and they r gonna sort me out some dosh.

After working for years in the motor trade I'm pretty sure a decent bodyshop should be able to pull most of that dent out and fill/repaint it. Should save you having to source a new panel and most likely you'll have to respray it the correct colour anyway.

Thanks for reply.

The thing with the current boot lid is it wasn't perfect anyway before the bump. It had ripples in it which looked like previous bad filler work so was kinda on the radar to change it at some point so I'll just get a replacement boot lid now it's mullered.

My plan is to trial fit the replacement boot lid then once it all fits nicely I can just get the replacement boot lid painted separately and fit the smashed one back on temporary until I get the new one back as I need the car for work.

Don't fancy leaving my coupe with anyone if I'm being honest lol.

I just thought I'd put the feelers out there and see if a scotts green bootlid was out there somewhere. If I get no joy I've got a few leads on boot lids but they will need painting.

Gentlemen,

Just a quick progress update. Managed to get hold of a replacement bootlid. Just have to sort out painting but ran out of time. Weekend having 2 days off never seems enough.

Might get some quotes off them mobile smart repair sprayer companies.

Are there any more shows coming up this year? Forgive me if it's posted somewhere but I'm not too good with forums. Abit old skool I'm afraid.

Your neighbour should be paying for the bootlid to be painted.
They would have been in a lot of trouble had you just reported it to the police as a hit & run. Points on licence, fine, higher insurance costs. Need to milk this a bit.

Gentlemen,

Few updated pics of the rear of my coupe that my neighbour decided to re arrange lol.

Doing it myself so just been trying to spend as much time as possible on it.

Changed the bootlid as was quicker than trying to fix the massive dent.

Had some rust around the rear right light cluster and a small dent on on left light cluster panel so sorted both and then can paint all at once.

Will hopefully have it painted soon as long as the weather holds off.

Now gotta pay ulez on the coupe as I work in london-****ing mayor! It's all kicking off with these blade runners removing ulez cameras. I hope they scrap the ulez-anyone else affected?
