I gave flowers to my gf wen she was feeling ill and recovering from an operation on her foot, and she wen all funny, didnt speak to me for ages

Maybe she thought it's because you were feeling guilty about something you did when she was in hospital. It's kinda why I started this thread, some ladies don't believe gents can give flowers without there being a reason to hide behind. Perhaps it's because they haven't been out with a gentleman before.
(btw, not suggesting I'm God's gift or anything - maybe I'm just too daft to do the thing that I should have been feeling guilty for!)

Sorry didn't read etire thread but only buy flowers for funerals, £20+ for something that'll be binned in 5 days is a waste of money IMO, just give them the cash.

Errrr I don't know where you got that idea from Liam - it's nothing to do with power it's to do with romance and civility. If you don't think she's worth the flowers then you shouldn't be dating her in the first place and should maybe look for someone who is worth it
