Hoping one of you good people on here can help.....
I need to remove the plastic engine cover on my 2013 1.3 MultiJet 95bhp Qubo to gain access to the common rail multiplug to add a performance-boosting box. Have added these to previous cars in a few minutes but this one is a real problem - the plastic engine cover appears to be impossible to remove. It looks different to the ones I have seen in pictures online in that this one is an all-in-one plastic affair combined with the air filter housing - removing the air filter lid doesn't show any means of removing the rest of the cover. Pictures of others I've seen seem to show the engine cover and air filter housing as 2 separate plastic sections. Anyway there appear to be a couple of long threaded bolts one each side towards the front of the engine cover that are holding it down but I don't know how to remove these - they are very recessed and appear to need a long very thin allen-key-headed screwdriver to loosen them, they appear to have some kind of black plastic cone on top as well inside each recess. Picture attached - the car is only a couple of months old so have Fiat changed the design of this? It must be possible to remove fairly easily to gain access to the glow plugs, but apart from the above it all seems to be connected in quite a complex way to the turbo as well ......
Any help anyone can provide would be much appreciated - have spent a couple of hours trying to work this one out but to no avail.
