Technical Fiat Qubo

So here goes. Just left Fiat dealership in Wiltshire (horrible experience). My brake servo vacuum pump is not working/leaking. This kicks out fault to the sensor, which is why I have eng man light on with warning triangle, which is why my start stop doesn't work or blue me & mileage flashes. It took them 9 hours over 2 days to work this out. Fiat quoted £1500!!! So I plan to get my local garage to do the work (they did not have kit to do initial test) using ebay parts. Does this sound OK? My car experience is getting classic FM on radio!

All things considered I plan to go to the dealership as they will warrant all the work. I can get it done cheaper but the warranty is what I need.
