Purchased a 2013 Qubo and was loving it until the gearbox got stuck in neutral.
Sent it to a garage who topped up some fluid in the gearbox / hydraulics and said this would be a temporary fix. A little puddle appeared after each use and eventually all the fluid leaked out within a couple of weeks. The car is now sat outside and not being used as it’s stuck in neutral again.
The garage have sent me a quote to fix this… at a cost of £3k all in…
I’m reading more and more about leaking seals online, but the garage insists that a whole new unit must be purchased from fiat.
Are there any companies that can rebuild whatever is leaking with fresh seals, and at a cheaper price?
Also, how do i top up the fluid and what fluid do I need? It’ll be good if I can at least do one drive a week or so with the car.
