Technical Punto warning light

Hiya Ive got a punto 2000 on an X plate and yesterday an amber light shaped a bit like a lightbulb came on when I braked... is this brake pads?? Im a woman and dont want to get ripped off at the garage so if i know before i take it then maybe ive got something to work on... many thanks x x

Simple fault

It Means that a Bulb (most likely) a brake light has popped

If you look in your manual it shows you how to remove you rear light cluster, and simply go to halfords and get a new bulb
When i recently replaced one of mine, it was a 382 12volt 21watt Bulb on My X Reg

and it works perfectly fine
