i have searched many threads but cant find the answer im lookin for.

i have a 2001 mk2 punto active with the 8 valve engine. my dash only has the speedo and fuel guage. instead of going for the uprated instruments, i have bought a TIM tachometer and removed the drivers side vent. fits perfectly haha

the guage came with 4 wires and i have managed to get it all lit and working with the ignition with 3 wires connected. the last wire is for the rev signal.

i have had the uprated clocks before and the rev guage worked

so would the wire in the back of the clocks work for the signal? if it would then which wire is it?

and if not is there anywhere else i could use to connect the wire to get a signal?

any help would be much apreciated. thanks =)

I think what you want is either in the Sei Technical Manual (downloads section) or the Cinquecento/Seicento HOWTOs.

IIRC, as the engine is wasted spark, the tach needs to be for an 8 cylinder engine.
my tachmeter can be set to either 4, 6 or 8 cylinders so thats ok ryt?
