hi, quick question. im about 2 wire my sub in but does the earth wire have to be a specific wire or can i use any? also my stereo dont have a remote lead to switch the amp on. where would be the best place to connect the remote wire to? thanks

As long as the earth wire is of the same type as the power you should be fine. I dont believe that you Hu doesnt have a remote so what HU do you have, if not any power feed will do, ignition fed would be better (Fag Lighter) otherwise you will have to fit a switch.
its a jvc HU mate, when i 1st got it, it had a remote wire but i lost the connector & had 2 buy a new 1 off ebay & it dont have no remote wire. i was thinking of going to the ignition aswel as its probably the easiest way. thanks
The ignition should be fine, whilst your there you could wire the stereo to the ignition
