Tuning Punto mk2 supersprint backbox

Hey peeps, for some reason the garage cannot fit the supersprint backbox on my mk2 sporting as the mounts are way off. The supersprint back box came off a mk2 sporting so should directly fit straight onto mine which it doesn't. Can someone please help me.

Where did you purchase it ? Are you sure it's for a mk2.

I brought it off someone on here who had it on his mk2 sporting. Have you got one on your punto? If so could you send me pics of where it is mounted to.

I have a custom made cat back, but have had a sportex back box in the past. It fitted straight on . How does the supersprint mounting brackets differ from the standard back box ?

Just a thought . What garage did you take it too ? Is it a garage you trust ? Im just thinking they could have been trying to get you to buy some thing else. I.e your exhaust doesnt fit , but we have this one you could have for ££££

Upload a picture of the exhaust. We shoukd be able to tell you if it's for a mk2

That looks like the correct one for a mk2 so should fit. What did the garage say didnt line up .

The mounting prongs don't match up to the mounting bracket as it's too close to the suspension spring. I was there too so their not pulling a fast one lol.

I noticed that the punto has two places where the back box could mount to. is their a special rubber mount that you use?

did they give you the bit that bolts to the car? it dont fit onto the standard bracket

Ahh okay that explains everything. Will have to make a custom bracket.

Just to clear this up a bit, im the guy that sold it and ive managed to get the required bracket......... Thanks for helping Dave, its appreciated. Bracket is on the way !!
