Hello, could anyone give me info of the punto mk2 sporting 1.2 16v, such as what mpg do you get? how much they are to insure ruffely, im 18 and have one years no claims, and how much i would be looking to pick one up with around 60 000 miles or less. Thanks

I got mine 03 Reg 66000 miles for £2495. Service history wasn't full but it runs great. Top MPG is 53 but that's really trying hard 
Usually average about 42-45.
For me it was £1840 to insure but it was my 1st year as a driver. I'm 19 so the price difference won't be much if anything. With no claims i think it went down to about £1450.

I took a mechanic with me when i bought it in November. He said gearbox is an uncommon problem so check it feels smooth through changes, and power steering. This is mainly caused by the 'City' button that they come with. It lightens the steering and makes it really easy to park etc but i would advise not using it at all.
I had trouble with my battery but since i recently topped it up it seems fine, might have not been looked after mechanically too well beforehand :/
