Technical Punto MK1 1998 emissions

Hi folks!
Does anyone have any good ideas what ´would be the most likely problem with my fiat punto 1.2 MK1 as it failed its emissions test as the CO2 readings were to high when the car had the revs up. But on the idle the CO2 reading was fine. Any help would be much appreciated.

Most likely culprits in no particular order:
-dirty air filter
-faulty o2 sensor (lambda) - or wiring of
-faulty map sensor - or vac line to, or wiring of
-coolant temp sensor

Whats the cars service history like? Running ok in general? Using more fuel than usual?

my mk2 just failed on high revs while fine on idle like op
coolant temp sensor causes it to fail on high revs?
what about cat, charmander?

not particularly on high idle no, just something that would result in high CO2 reading.

Cat is possible too but if iirc it would have high HC emissions too then - worth a google though as my memory is famously bad.

And what about Charmander?
