Hey, I bought a punto 55 SX about 6 months ago and, but in the last few weeks, the lights have started going a bit dodgy.
If I have the indicator and press the brake, the indicator doesnt flash or show as being on.
Also when I have my lights on at night, and my indicator is only, the back light and the indicator light alternate. Plus if I press my brake, the lights go off and my two indicators come on and my break lights come on.
Inside the car on the wee button for my fog light, the light for it flashes when my indicator is on and goes solid when my brakes on?
Anybody still following?

I had a leak in my aerial that was coming through to my interior light. Could this be the problem that started my electric problem? Anybody know why its doing this/how to fix it?

Nope, I havent replaced any, dont know if the garage where I got it from did though

I have the same problem. How do i track the earth where its connected to the car?
The bulb holders look ok.
Thanks

this is defo bad earth as said above., remove the rear lights and clean up the connectors on them, imspect them for any damage and what i do is slightly bend the terminals in the flight fixture so that when im reconnecting them i have to put some pressure on them to make them click back into place, this holds them in very well and the lights will work perfectly after this.,(y)

"Bad Earth" means the bulb isn't earthing through the bulb holder.

Take out the bulb, make sure the the bulb holder is a close fit on the base (tighten a touch.. it's just curved piece of tin) and refit the bulb.

Ralf S.

and it then earhts through other bulbs the brake light bulb is earthed both sides when it's not lit
