Ok I went to the breakers today to scrounge a headlight for the cinq, when low and behold what should I find? 3 puntos with the door pods and 2 factory subs. soooo. to cut along story short, I left the pods, (difficult to carry on a small motorbike ) and i took the grey sub (the other was black) and it's bracket. it cost me a tenner plus vat for the sub, bracket, wiring and a rear wiper. I wholely recommend Roger Windleys to anyone who needsa parts in lincolnshire!
ok back to topic, I know the mk1 punto doesn't have the wiring built in (especially a 55sx,) and I've already worked out that the orange and orange/black wires, and the blue/yellow and blue/red wires are for the sound input. Do I just take these from the rear shelf speakers?
I know Black is earth so I'll run that to the rear earth point.
i Think the grey is remote on? (I hope?)
so that leaves the red/white which must be the power. Where is this connected to in a mk2? could I take it off the amp power lead I already have running from my battery?
On a final note, has anyone done this before (fitting the mk2 sub into a mk1 I mean?) and if so how did they attach the bracket as the threads are not in the bodywork all ready? I was thinking of making extentions to attach it to the rear shelf mounts, but I'm stumped on how to bolt it to the floor?
If anyone has a wiring diagram or any photos i'd appreciate it?
