General Punto Convertable Softtop question.

Hi, I would be greatfull of any help on the following..

I own a Punto Convertable colour white with a manual hood. I have noticed recently the hood has changed shape a little (hard to describe in words) viewed from the side the hood looks too flat along the top. The hood itself is in reasonable condition and waterproof (ish). I fear the problem is the hood frame underneath.

Last time it was open I noticed a snapped off length of twisted wire hanging down from the edge of the hood. From reasearch on 'tinternet, I know MX5's have a tension cable or strap, I wondered if Punto's have anything simlar and if this has snapped causing me problems.

I cannot find any diagrams of the hood frame or mechanism if anyone knows where to find these or has any info that might help I would be very greatfull..

never had or even been in a cab but i would imagine your feelings are correct. even headliners have said wires across to hold them tight.
