Punto Alarm system help please!

Hi firstly I would like to say how great this forum is! I have learnt quite a bit from it already from reading various posts.

I own a punto 60sx and I am trying to install a car alarm.

and I have been busy installing it using VTECs instructions(thanks VTEC) which can be found here https://www.fiatforum.com/punto-guides/89812-alarm-fitting-te-mk1-punto.html

All has gone well up to now but I am having difficulty wiring up the remote central locking.

I have found the locking and unlocking wires and have connected them as follows:

Alarms white wire (lock) to the cars blue central locking wire
And the alarms white/black wire (unlock) to the cars white central locking wire.

The problem that I am having is that I do not know which wire within the car is the common line which is referred to in the wiring diagram which can be found in VTECs instructions.

I am also presuming that the central locking system in use in my car is that same as in figure one in the wiring diagram. Is this correct?

hi, glad it helped ya.,
its been a while since i looked at one of them alarms but i think i have one somewhere so ill dig it out later and see which wires from the module are needed, i think there is 6 altogether and 2 of them go to the CL wires and the others double up and go to ground and 12v+.,
ill look into it for ya when i get a chance later on., how did the rest of the instalation go for ya?

Thanks VTEC, your help is much appreciated! The rest of the installation has been going fine, a bit tricky locating all of the wiring but its only the central locking which I have had a problem with.

After rechecking my wires I have found that the puntos white wire is actually the lock wire and the blue is the unlocking wire (these wires feed into the white box in the drivers footwell).

here is the wiring diagram as posted by VTEC:

So the wires for the central locking are as follows:
alarms white -> Cars white (lock)
alarms white/black -> Cars blue (unlock)

and I have the following left unconnected -
alarms orange
alarms orange black
alarms yellow
and the alarms yellow black

Can anybody tell me where to connect these remaining four wires as I am having difficulty understanding the wiring diagram.

Did you manage to fit the alarm just wondering as i'm tempted to get one for my sporting
