Hi All,

Can someone out there help with this small query?

Car is a1997 Punto 60s 1.2 8V . The speedo failed, so I replaced the whole instrument pod with one from a scrapyard. This was from a 60sx and has the temp gauge and rev counter. All of the normal functions work ok and I've got the temp gauge up and running, just needed the sensor changing from the switch to the variable resistance. I would like to get the tacho working, and belive that a straight swap of the ECU for one from a 60SX will just plug in and once the correct wiring to the tacho is fitted it should work ok, is this correct?
If it is, does anyone know the 60SX ECU part no please. I have the red key which I think should allow a different ECU to pick up the code ok.

By the way, if any one is thinking of changing the temp sensor it should not have any tape or sealant applied to the threads. The thread has a slight taper and will prevent leakage if tightend up firmly. The return electrical path is via the thread and the engine block.

Thanks Stelio (AKA Chris)
