Technical Punto 1.2 2000 electric window failed

Hi all

I have a year 2000 1.2 punto with electric front windows which have always worked fine until last week, when the right hand side window has decided not to work any longer.

Is there a separate fuse for each window, or is there another likely cause I should check first? Thanks

Yea each window has its oen fuse

Try
Slamming the door a few times
Try if you can raising the / lowing window abit by hand and see if it sparks into life?
Try wiggling the door flexi and see if that helps at all

Thanks Ziggy. I had a look and found fuse F47 and F48 are for Windows. Pulled both and both look undamaged, so I swapped them over and still it's the LHS window working and RHS window not working.

Tried your suggestions, slamming door and wiggling the flexy, no luck with that.

I guess next step is to take the door skin off and check if power is getting to the motor, then maybe replace motor or st least renew brushes if that turns out to be the trouble.

ive had the plugs physically come off on these mk2 puntos on the motor,it was found when door cards removed,guess fiats finest engineer car builders got sloppy at times,remember to get a test bulb on the plug if it isnt this before ordering motors not faulty

Thanks S&B, good tip. Will get the door card off and have a look sometime, probably not today though.

If there's no power getting to the motor, what could that be? I've already checked the fuse which is good.

Hi! We're you able to find the problem? I am having the same issue, but I am not getting power to the motor at all.
