After get my clutch changed in the Summer By MrClutch and the clutch judder still occuring, I have finally got it fixed by the superb guys at Turin Motor in Leeds. And it was the clutch lie I ept telling MrClutch. They told me it was an engine mount, I thought "hmm it only happens when I slip the clutch, engine mount ey?"

No chance of getting a refund from MrClutch though me thinks. Death to MrClutch!!!!!

unfortunately mr clutch are a bunch of incompetenet useless ************

ive dealt with them twice and will tell everyone to avoid them at all costs!

mr clutch are crap as are most chain garages. find a local garage find out what pub they drink in and make friends with them.

My clutch has been juddering for years now it seems to go away after a couple of starts from cold so never bothered getting anyone to look at it.

I'm in leeds too, I keep getting fliers left on my windscreen from turin motors.

Looks like a decent outfit but had never any cause to use them. Will keep them in mind if i need anything doing.

Do you mind if i ask how much they charged to do the job?

i to have an anoying judder wen pulling away and also had my clutch done by Mr Clutch.......

so the answer is a new clutch - just not from them again?

When i rev the engine i hear a little rattle, which i think is my clutch, my clutch is a year old. only rattle at 2000 revs around about.

wat thers a rattling noise at 2000rpm in any gear? or when your not moving? foot down on the clutch, slipping or fully engaged? no judder with that noise?

doesnt sound clutchy to me. if it was It could be the thrust bearing going but it would make the noise when you depress clutch pedal i.e. engage the bearing.

I think the total cost was £446 but that included a number of other things down such as sort the leaking slave cylinder.
Ill put a brake down of cost tomorrow

Right for £440.63 inc vat from Turin I got:

1 Clutch
1 Slave Cylinder
2 Hub Nuts
1 Driveshaft boot
1 Hydraulic Fluid

Also Gearbox strip, examine and rebuild.

They originally thought the problem was with the Gearbox so said the gearbox would need rebuilding. I had it in for that but they found the clutch wasnt looking nice.

Quality job they did I would recommend for any big jobs. They give me some bits for free which was very nice off them.

Lets hope I can get my money back from MrClutch see pictures of the removed clutch below

Notice the wear on the inside diameter of the clutch plate and notice the ring where the thrust bearing has been engaging indicating it is not seated correctly in the centre.
