General Project mk1 going good

I just love the shape and style of a uno, and the clear lights look part of the car un like those horrible lexus lights.
I red your other thread and if you see any then grab me a set i have the money thats no problem.
Mines going in for a complete respray in around 8 weeks time so i need to be able to sort out the side graphics as i want these back on it when its all done.
I like the standard look so i might re-furb my wheels and just lower it and re-move the locks as that look sweet done, then it remains kinda standard.
Can you help on these graphics or are they availiable from fiat still.?

I will definitely be doing them at some point but I have to move house and stuff first. I can't imagine you'd find any through Fiat although there's plenty of companies that do them on site for bodyshops.

Actually come to think of it there was a thread somewhere about rear lenses and someone had a link to a company outside the country that did every type possible. Have a look around, it was only a week or so ago...........M.

Considerd Alfa 33 wheels?

Actually that's a pretty cool idea. They've got that solid Uno feel to them. You could even spray the centres graphite................M.

Na im not to sure on them, they just look dated....... i still like the white one i had in mind, i can always keep the old ones just incase i ever want to fit them back on...
I do like those tsw blades, think that the age is just right for the car after all it is 1989 so those blades seam to suit the unos shape and style... :yum:

I love that photo of the 33 - very atmospheric with the lichen and the grafitti! :D

Yeah, those Alfa wheels have that 'Euro' look to them that seems to be in fashion now (the smooth look without spokes). I agree with Serin in that the other wheels you're looking at (on the black car) look rather 'dated' to use your expression (ten years old), plus with that extra 'rim' I don't personally like them. On that car they suit it fairly well because of the Hormann bodykit (which is also looking dated now :)) Your choice of white wheels reminds me of WRC rally cars... they do look good, much better than the others... but fitting new wheels is almost cheating in a way (of course, that's what my car has so you can take my advice with a large pinch of salt.)

On your original-looking Mk1, I reckon the original wheels refurbished, or for a subtle change the 14" Croma Turbo wheels that look identical to the Uno Turbo wheels... the tyres would then be lower-profile and look great.

Wheels are a personal thing so don't be afraid to do what you want at the end of the day and show us what you decide (y) Chas and I would love to see an Uno on chrome spinners....

...not :p
