as some of you may know, i've got another motor, the cinqs backup vehicle :D

i've gone bit Jdm and bought a Honda crx-Del sol. it's a b16 vtec japanese import, so has the jdm extras like aircon, cupholders etc. the thread title? Eddie Honda, character from street figher ;)

anyway, heres pics of it. i wont lie, it's got it's rough areas but the back arches are very decent which is fairly rare on these.

i got it at a good price so can't complain much. worst issues are it needing discs and pads, and the front left caliper is sticky so i burn the brakes on very long runs, may just need the piston free'd off, but im just getting another caliper to be sure

also drivers door is a mess, so i'll be replacing that, other than that, a few bulbs needed here and there, thats about it :)

i have plenty plans for it (including removing that god awful rear window powered by honda sticker :laugh :) so keep tuned to see how it goes i guess :D

and Mega thanks to Daz (abyss) for the run through to pick it up :D

they look gash without the spoiler IMO, they need it to balance the shape out or else it looks like the back lid is a mini helicopter landing pad

yup, full electric transtop working 100%

i think i have a few other little goodies lurking underneath in the form of the front suspension, the camber defo isn't sitting standard but it looks mean like that and steers perfectly well like that so i'll leave it as is for now there :) 4 brand new tyres on it so i'll monitor wear rates for now :)

ended up paying £660 for it, which i thinks pretty good considering its not in bad condition, has tax and ticket and the faults that are there are easily treatable

Solid project....Can you lose the rear fog light, using UK lenses?

nope it's built into the number plate panelon them, but i can get a rear panel off a uk vti that has the foglight integrated into it fairly easily, it'd just be a case of wiring up the number plate lights a little differently to how it is now or fitting the JDM number plate spacers :)

Nice wee Motor Mark.
Hope this is better than the Colliebra & Beemer you had.

the calibra was a good car, so was the bmw tbf

both just had things that annoyed me and a few issues i couldnt be bothered fixing, like the calibras rear subframe and the bmw's chronic rust and whiney clutch bearing

thing that surprises me most about the crx is the ride quality, it's bloody brilliant for what is supposed to be a vaguely spoty car, the only one that compares to it i've had is the bmw tbh, even the focus had a firmer ride than this!

You can wire the fog light into the other reverse light switch. or even the current light switch.

Remove the black plastic sills cover and under sill that as soon as :) .

Other than that nice looking car, very reliable!

waiting on a few orders being delivered, need to give it a wash aswell then i'll take so proper quality pics :D

the cinqs not getting neglected for long, dismantling a few parts for investigation i think this week to find out why it's running like a bag of spanners, hopefully just the alternator pulley not sitting flush on the crank pulley nipple after i quickly put the timing belt on :D
