Technical Problems with 1st Gear

Hi!

I currently have a 2012 plate Fiat 500 Pop, and on a few occasions recently it seems to be resisting/struggling with going into 1st gear. Both times this has happened so far has been when I have been stationary at junctions or traffic lights. This hasn’t happened consistently but over the course of a week it has happened 2 times while driving the car. It only seems to be 1st gear that it’s happening with.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue? Or if anyone has advice.

It's possibly just down to wear

Sometimes Clutch, sometimes Gearbox

Try selecting 2nd next time it struggles.. Then straight back into 1st

I will definitely try this and keep an eye on it.

I have seen some others on here also saying they have had similar issues, and putting it into neutral before going into 1st has also helped.

Clutch hydraulics would be my first thing to look at, especially if it will go in no problem engine off?
