Technical Problem with wipers when turning engine over

I they no longer jump when the ignition is switched on all you need to do now is reset the arm to the new 9 o'clock position.

they never jumped at all what happened was
Get in turn the ignition on and the wipers do one intermittent wipe. stopping half way don the screen. the same type of wipe as if you click onto intermittent then back to off. and then everytime you repeat the process they stop in a different position.

only now after i did what you said ive only repeated the process of getting in car start iginiton once and this time they went downwards like you said.
ive not done anything else till i had a reply just incase and i wont till i know exactly what you mean. im sorry im not the sharpest tool in the box lol

Ok. Get in and turn the ignition on again. Do they move this time ? If not all that needs doing is the arm resetting.

Your punto have fitted mk2 wiper motor, not mk2b. Had this problem with wipers starting after ignition turning on, after changing wiper motor to mk2b problem was solved. It's look identical but something inside it is different.
