I've took tank off the van (FIAT SCUDO 2012 1.6 DIESEL), i got multimeter on the wiring under the van with ignition on, its a 2 wire plug, one side 12v i assume other earth.

With the tank on the bench i put 12v to the powered line and earthed the other, i got no noise as though additive pump not working

Is this how the pump works because it would answer the question why i have the code "additive pump open circuit" is the pump gone?

Model
SCUDO
Year
2012

Can you see if you have continuity using an Ohm meter setting of multimeter across those two terminals.
Other than that can you get any further information from Citroen/Peugeot Forums, I believe it is a similar setup to what I had in a 2012 1.6 Citroen C3 Picasso which I think it uses the same engine in the 1.6 Scudo. On that it was Eloys fluid, I was able to refill the reservoir and then use Snap On Zeus to prime it and delete error codes.
Obviously my pump side worked.:)
Incidentally you are meant to wear protective gloves etc. when handling the stuff.;)

Tank has loads of fluid, when you say terminals you mean tank side off the van? yes same engine 1560cc diesel its a winner, electrics aren' t so you mean between 2 terminals of the two pins on the pump off the van? what figures should i see to eliminate the pump thats on the tank? thxs

Re the fluid, I was just saying about what I had to do on the Citroen.
For testing the pump it's self I would test first using the OHM setting on Multimeter across the two terminals on the pump that the live and earth from the wiring that you think is the supply in and see if a reading , not sure what Ohm reading exactly, it is more to prove there is a connection inside the motor and that it is not broken inside the pump.
If you are sure right connections then you could try powering up the pump, but I would try and read the voltage on the pump it's self first to be sure.
You will not get a reading from the input wires as it probably only triggers when the computer says it needs to do a Regen or something.
I liked the pull from lowdown with that engine in a Citroen C3 even at 220K miles, but for a vehicle the size of the Scudo I prefer the 2.0 litre with it's 120-130hp compared with the 90hp of the 1.6, also the six speed gearbox helps.
I was looking for another 2.0 litre Scudo but settled for a cheap Citroen Dispatch as just different badges and ECU.:)

The connection under van reads 12v on one pin, he may operate using an earth pulse a bit like an injector

I will see if i get continuity or ohm reading this morning and update

I put 12v and earth to the pump got nothing

Then it's fubared

Are you saying the other two are unused because the two positions in the associated plug are unpopulated with cables?
The connection under van has only twice wires, these on the pic above are relative to the connector and those i tested

Nothing happened, going testing again now with continuity or ohms

There is no continuity or any ohm reading across the two pins, is that a fubared pump?
Absolutely

I would expect something below 25 ohms or so

If it's a brushed motor, it could be tarnished commutator and could possibly be cleaned up , but better to replace it, it's probably not a lot of money.

They are a fortune and moulded into the tank

Does sound like pump.:)

Any chance a s/h one from a similar Peugeot Expert or Citroen Dispatch 1.6 would fit?

If it's a brushed motor and tarnished commutator , then you might find it'll come back to life if you gently tap it a few times whilst applying the 12v

It won't be reliable , but it would confirm failure mode, more for curiosity.

(Not enough in the photo's to see if it can be disassembled further or not, is it a sealed (plastic welded) plastic block?

Yes its sealed to the tank and its £367
mental

Hardly any about
Remember it doesn't have to be a Fiat Scudo, a Peugeot Expert, Citroen Dispatch of the same or similar age with that engine are only badge engineered.
I was looking for a Fiat Scudo 2.0 litre van , but in the end I bought a Citroen Dispatch 2.0 which a blind man would have a job to tell the difference.
The main difference I came across is the ECU when recognising the Vin number will have an issue if the diagnostics are just Fiat based.
Go around the scrapyards if not the vans, then look at the Citroen C3 Picasso with the same engine 1560cc and age 2012, from my experience you make be able to work something out.:)

There's even several brand new ones on ebay (for peugeot 207/Citroën Berlingo/peugeot partner) for £105 delivered, you'd have to peruse to see if you could adapt it

eBay item number:335451184487 as an example

They may be possible, but first I would check on the van copies of that model Fiat Scudo as most likely to be compatible.:)
