Problem fitting amp/sub.

Hi all, i have decided to fit my sub and amp in my HGT. Problem being that i cannot find a hole in the bulk head to feed my power cable from the car battery. Can anyone please guide me in the right direction as to where this is such a suitable hole?

Hi i had to get a hole drilled into my bulk head when i had an amp fitted into my bravo.

There are about 2 or 3 bungs that you can drill through to get the power cable through, when mine was done i think the biggest one was used.

Best bet is to pull it out, get a friend to stick a long screwdriver thru it and see if/where it comes out in the engine bay.

Also make sure that it is tight fitting as water can work its way through if your not careful.

It really is a bitch to get through on the HGT. The hole is there but good luck trying to get it from behind the engine.

Before attempting buy a trade box of elastoplast. You will need them

should help if you remove, or loosen the soundproofing carpet at the back of the bay on the right hand side. but thats a job in itself probably. definitely best to start from inside and work your way towards the engine bay with a wire coathanger.

as above, i ended up taking mine to local car stereo place as i couldnt get cable through the first time i fitted an amp, they just taped one end to bit of coat hanger and pushed it through!

once they'd done it it seemed obvious where it came through and did it easily since!

mine wasa 1.6 though

I fitted one last night!
If you remove the glove box with the several screws in there, youll find a huge grommet.
Easy to locate in engine bay, revove this and pierce it and thread your amp cable through there.
Found this easy, as couldny find wher the one under carpet can out in enging bay.
Its a hgt too!
