General primed question

hi, had a bump on front end last month, smashed headlight and knackered bonnet.
so got headlight and fitted it, bonnet has come ready primed, aint got money yet to have it sprayed is it ok to fit it just primed?? someone told me that primer is porus so it'll need prepping and re-priming again??
dont wanna spend anymore money that i dont need to.

sure it will be okay,often see cars driving for ages with black unpainted panels

it'll be fine but you'll need to prep it prior to painting, key the surface with 1200 wet& dry (used wet) then clean with sugar soap, then it'll be ready for paint.
