Technical Power Steering Query

Hi

I just wondered if i should be checking the level of power steering fluid on a regular basis?

This is my first Fiat so i don't know if it's something i should be doing or not?? I've only had the car 8 months and so far haven't bothered. I've always driven German cars in the past and on a regular basis i did have to top-up the fluid.

Can anyone please let me know if i should be doing this or if it's ok to leave it until its annual service.

It doesnt have power steering fluid, the steering is electric

Steering is electric not hydraulic so there is nothing to check.

(assuming you have a 1.2 then again they are all fairly similar)

keep an eye on the Coolant more than anything there have been quiet a few radiators springing leaks....

Mine is a 1.4 GP but i'll take your advice to check the coolant level regularly

well the 1.4 is virtually identical to the 1.2
