Hi I bought Grande Punto 1.2 8v 2006 .Pretty happy with it mileage didn't matter but after 2 weeks of driving Develop Power Steering Fault ? or Problem hard to explain most of time happens in morning when you start car in cold engine 5 out 10 times Power steering become heavy . Went to Garage to Check out and put car in computer Code C1002 Steering Column motor torque position sensor.
He delete fault cars runs for 4 days without problem .
What is best and cheapest option to fix that?.Roughly cost of fixing that.
Im not sure is sensor or whole power steering or problem with battery?.
What else might be worth checking before?.
Its safe to Drive ?
Car passed MOT in May 2015.

Anyone in Belfast Northern Ireland who got same problems loads of Grande Puntos On N.Irish Roads .

Thanks alot for any help and i advice

Sounds like the sensor may be causing you issues. You may be lucky enough to just replace the sensor itself or may have be full column (might work fine now). Never had any dealings with this issue so best thing would do is ask the garage or a fiat garage if no one else knows.

If new wheel it wont be cheap but if they do reconditioned sensor's, then this may work out cheaper. Not sure on the price.
